The Importance of Soffit and Fascia in a Roof

The soffit and fascia are more than aesthetic, it’s necessary to protect your roof and your house! 

What is a soffit

Maintenance for Soffit and Fascia 

Cleaning 

You should regularly clean your fascia; this can be done with a pressure washer being so careful.

Sealing

Sealing your soffit and fascia boards ensure their longevity and protection against moisture damage caused by rainwater.

The sealing must be done with a special sealant for exterior wood surfaces.

Inspections

You should inspect your soffit and fascia at least every 6 months. You can do this when you are going to do your gutter maintenance.
